Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can get poisoned on their Wedding

The Royal Wedding is soon to take place on May 19th, 2018. As the excitement level is getting higher, speculations and rumors are also roaming around. Fears have been raised that the bride, groom and their guests can get poisoned if they eat the decorative flowersembellishing the custom-baked wedding cake.

It is expected that millions of people around the globe will watch the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Once the couple exchanges their vows at St George’s Chapel, in Windsor Castle they will sit in a carriage and make their way through the streets of the town to join the guests at St George’s Hall.
Breaking the tradition of having a fruitcake at the wedding the couple has ordered a lavish lemon elderflower wedding cake from Claire Ptak, a bakery in east London. The cake will be covered with buttercream and it will be decorated with fresh flowers.
But a warning has been issued to all the guests to exercise caution while sampling any of the flowers.
A botanical toxicologist Elizabeth Dauncey said: “I don’t think anyone’s idea of a perfect wedding is calling for an ambulance for a guest who assumed the flowers decorating the cake were edible.”

There are flowers that are used to decorate sweet and savory dishes but are not edible. They can be poisonous if eaten. These flowers include delphiniums, ranunculus, clematis, and anemones.
Dr. Dauncey said that the same bakery produced a cake for Jools Oliver the wife of known chef Jamie Oliver in 2017. It was decorated with white anemone which can cause vomiting and skin problems.
